Bay area Air Quality (Spare the air )

Bay area Air Quality (Spare the air )

Bay area air quality is very bad today. In the morning the sky was so clear, but 12 pm sky full of smoke. It took wind to come in center with in  an hour.

I got some masks and give it to everybody and we used it while we were outside.

We came home close the windows, I started my computer and look for the sites, what to do.

I wanted to do research, i found out some of the important sites and information:) I am still doing more research.

Air quality from the wildfires in the North Bay (Napa) is causing smoky sky throughout the Bay Area.

Stay aware of local news coverage or health warnings related to smoke. Use common sense. If it looks smoky outside, avoid physical outside activities and don’t let your children play outdoors.

I call 511.

511 has message for everybody, stay indoors, keep indoor air as clean as possible. Keep your windows and doors closed unless it’s extremely hot outside. If you don’t have an air conditioner, staying inside with the windows closed may be dangerous in extremely hot weather. In these cases, seek alternative shelter.

Run your home or car air conditioner on recycling or recirculate. Keep the fresh air intake closed and the filter clean to prevent bringing additional smoke inside.

This is the data from state and federal air quality standards. They declare spare the air days in Bay area California.

Preparing air quality forecasts.
Clean Air Plan modeling.
Prevention of Significant Deterioration permit modeling.
Preparing environmental impact reports.
Providing information about regional and local air quality and air quality trends.
Developing air quality rules and regulations.
